DALE have today completed the signing of former Bradford City striker Mark Danks.

The 31-year-old forward, who started his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers is available for tomorrow’s EVO-STIK Northern Premier League, Division One South fixture with Gresley at The Beeches.

Warley-born Danks, who scored for Bradford against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup back in 2003, has also won the FA Trophy with Hednesford Town in a successful playing career.

Joint Manager Ross Thorpe is delighted Danks has agreed to join and add to Tivi’s attacking options, saying: “Mark is an extremely talented and experienced forward who’s played at a very high standard of football.

“He’s scored goals, knows the non-league stage inside and out and will bring invaluable experience to the dressing room. We’re delighted to have him on board and Neil Tooth (Manager, Sutton Coldfield Town) has been great in helping the deal get over the line so quickly.

“I’d like to think Mark will be able to play some part tomorrow against Gresley because it’s an important game for us.”
