July next week? It’s nearly time to start singing Christmas Carols. Okay, maybe not! 🙂
But talking of singing, there will be plenty of vocalists in Town on Saturday, as Tividale Football & Social Club holds the Tividale Summer Festival of 2015.
Make sure you’re here to join the fun; I’m sure many of you attended last year’s event, and that turned out to be a major success.
I look forward to seeing you between 12 & 5 on Saturday!
Tomorrow night (Friday) sees our Wacky Races night, as we continue raising money with ‘TEAM MAX’. As you’re probably aware, local lady Maxine Smith is suffering from terminal cancer and all our thoughts are with Maxine and her family at this difficult time.
There’s also a Karaoke and Disco on the night, and our very own Lloyd McCormack is on the DJ Decks. Can I request Mark Morrison, Return of the Mack please, Boss?!
Were you at Tividale Football & Social Club last Friday night, by the way? Gooood grief – what a night!
I think that’s possibly one of the best night’s I’ve had in the Club during my time here at Tividale. There must have been twenty of us surrounding the dart board through the night, including John ‘Buildbase’ Goudge, Tayls, Kieran, John & Pete Edwards.
The arrows were flying, as were the jokes and ideas. Kieran came up to me on Saturday and said “Steven, any chance of mentioning a Sunday Afternoon Darts free and easy on Communications Corner?” Done, Kieran!
I will bring you further details of this in the coming weeks, but I would envisage it would be around 15:00 of a Sunday Afternoon.
I’m not sure I liked the idea of the ‘BUILDBASE ‘B’ TEAM’, mind! Oh hang on, that was my pathetic idea! If we can get a decent set of players, yes. Us lot? No not for me, thank you!
It was the EVO-STIK League AGM in Blackpool on Saturday, and it would seem Mr. Leon Murray could do with buying a new SatNav. If you want to find out more details, then ask Leon, I’d be typing all day about his unforgettable journey home!
Staying with football and our new management team welcome their new squad (near enough! 🙂 ) to pre-season training next Tuesday night.
Ross Thorpe can’t wait; he’s like a kid waiting for Christmas on September 5th! Spiller is just, well, Spiller!
See you at the Tividale Summer Festival, Submariners!
