IAN Long is hoping Tivi’s recent run of good form continues when they entertain Lincoln United at The Beeches tomorrow afternoon (KO 15:00).

It’s the first of two games in three days for Long’s men over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with Sutton Coldfield visiting the Black Country on Monday.

‘Dale’s midweek game at table topping Mickleover Sports fell victim to heavy rainfall in Derbyshire, and after a week of ground improvement work being completed at The Beeches, Long hopes that another three points can be claimed by his players tomorrow afternoon.

Speaking with @TiviFCofficial on Thursday evening following a light training session on Tivi’s 3G facility, Long said “It’s going to be another tough game for us because Lincoln are a very good side. We have managed to win our two previous home games against Brigg and Stocksbridge, and we want that run of form to continue.

“We were disappointed that Tuesday’s game at Mickleover was postponed because we’d have gone into the game full of confidence, but on the flip side it’s also given us an opportunity to be fresh and 100% prepared for our Bank Holiday programme.

“We want to finish as high in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, Division One South as possible – we won’t be taking our foot off the gas.”
