Loughborough Dynamo FC 1 – 3 Tividale FC
Loughborough downed by Dynamic Tividale
Tividale kept up their great spell of form with another well deserved victory at Loughborough Dynamo’s Nanpantan Sports Ground.
Once again manager Ian long was forced to make changes to the personnel and formation to the side that earned a point at Coalville the week before with Deqwon Ebanks ill and new signing Jean-Michel Gueyes unavailable David Bellis returned to the centre of midfield alongside Andy Parsons and Karl Edwards brought in to lead the line.
Tividale started the brighter and Andy Parsons will feel he should have done better on 15 minutes when he fired Zach Foster’s cross over the bar on 15 minutes. Foster then had an effort himself a couple of minutes later but again it did not trouble home keeper Joe McCormack. Tividale’s Chris Field marveling in his new right back position then went on a run down the right flank but again the final effort was not enough to trouble McCormack.
Dynamo’s first effort on goal was supplied by Matt Langham when with a great piece of skill he took down a high ball but his shot went straight into the arms of Tividale keeper Charlie Price. At the other end Edwards worked an opening for Parsons but again he fired off target. Then a mistake by Dynamo skipper Joe Pheasant when the ball glanced off his head played in Edwards but his first time volley just cleared the bar. On 25 minutes Tividale took a deserved lead when from a Dynamo attack that broke down Leigh Downing broke free played in Edwards who put the ball through McCormacks legs and into the back of the net. Tividale now had the lead their dominance deserved and the home side looked devoid of ideas until the 33rd minute when a rash Richard Huckfield pass went straight to Dynamo’s Neil Dawkins and his first time shot was turned around the post by Price. The danger was not clear though as from the resulting corner the scores were level when Pheasant’s thumping header gave Price no chance. The goal definitely swung the momentum the home sides way and the last 10 minutes of the half Tividale looked a different side and were glad of the half time whistle.
Half Time:- Loughborough Dynamo FC 1 – 1 Tividale FC
The opening minutes of the second half was a much more even affair and chances were at a premium, the best for Tividale was an Edwards shot that was wide. Then a Langham cross for Dynamo flashed across the Tividale penalty area. Tividale had the ball in the Dynamo net on 61 minutes when Edwards was the first to react when McCormack parried his header and he bundled the ball over the line but the referee blew for a foul. The game was now beginning to open up and Dynamo’s Andy Kenny should have done better when heading wide. In the 71st minute it was Dynamo’s turn to have a goal chalked off when Daryll Thomas headed past Price, but the offside flag was raised. It got from bad to worse for the home side because from being denied from going in front two minutes later they were behind. Danny Ashton beat Dynamo full back Carl Sibson and his cross was met by Downing who’s shot beat McCormack despite the keepers effort to keep it out.
Dynamo had a great chance to draw level again in the 88th minute when Thomas fired wide with the goal at his mercy. Dynamo where now throwing everything at Tividale and as the game moved into injury time Luke Paskin headed a goal bound effort out for a corner. Tividale made the points secure in injury time when substitute Jordan Archer outpaced his marker and slid the ball past the advancing McCormack and into the net.
