Stalemate that ended 10 minutes early
Tividale started the better in this the final pre season game and the forward pairing of Joel Ayettey and Demetri Brown were causing the Halesowen defence all sorts of problems.
But it was Halesowen who had the first real chance of the game on ten minutes when a Dean Waldron effort was pushed away by Tividale keeper Tom Turner.
Tividale continued to threaten and deservedly opened the scoring in the 44th minute when the pace of Brown got him in behind the Halesowen defence he then cut the ball back from the by line to Jahmel Taylor who fired past Halesowen keeper Dan Platt.
Half Time: Halesowen Town FC 0 – 1 Tividale FC
Halesowen equalised with their first attempt on goal in a stop-start second half when an Isaac Cooper cross from the left was headed home by the unmarked Connor Collins.
With the usual a spate of second half substitutions it was Tividale who probably suffered the most and Halesowen possibly shaded the second half. The game ended on 80 minutes after a collision between Ayettey and Platt.
The two players went up for a bouncing ball and it resulted with the forward suffering from concussion and a nasty cut to his forehead and the keeper losing 3 teeth. With the lengthy stoppage as both players required hospital treatment and the hot afternoon sun. All involved thought it best to end the game there and then.
