TIVIDALE have completed the signing of Causeway United forward Danny Priest.
Priest, who trained with his new teammates for the first time last night worked under ‘Dale’s Assistant Manager Richard Colwell during his time at The Grove and goes straight into the squad ahead of tomorrow’s game with Brigg Town at The Beeches (KO 15:00).
Speaking to @TiviFCofficial, Colwell believes Priest will turn out to be a very good addition to Ian Long’s squad.
He said “I worked with Danny at Causeway and we’ve acquired the services of a very talented player. He’s lost his way somewhat over the last two seasons and probably hasn’t worked as hard as you need to be working for this level of football.
“He’s also struggled with a knee injury but having had a conversation with him, he’s fit and ready to work hard and be committed to his football.
There are no expectations of him this season but we’re confident he can play a big role for us as we look ahead to next season. He trained very well with the group last night and that has put Danny very much in contention for tomorrow’s game against Brigg.”
