CHRIS Rabone has called for Dale to continue their unbeaten run in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League, Division South when the Submariners travel to fellow strugglers Loughborough Dynamo tomorrow afternoon (KO 15:00).

Tivi are now unbeaten in their past two games having drawn against both Basford United and Stocksbridge Park Steels respectively, and the 25-year-old has called for consistency ahead of tomorrow’s crucial fixture.

“It’s important we continue our unbeaten run and keep improving our confidence levels,” said Rabone.

“We played extremely well as a team last week at Stocksbridge. That’s not an easy place to go and pick up a positive result by any stretch of the imagination. Let’s be honest, we were disappointed not to take maximum points in the end.

“The same applies to last Tuesday against Basford, really. We dominated the second period, Lewis (Wright) got the equaliser and we had chances at the end to win it. The game is about fine margins, but you have to make your own luck, too.”

Rabone’s former club Sporting Khalsa play in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup tomorrow in an intriguing home tie against non-league giants FC United of Manchester and the winger wishes Manager Ian Rowe and his former teammates all the best for the game.

“I wish them the best of luck. It would be a massive achievement for them to reach the first round proper of the world’s most prestigious cup competition. It’s a tough game against FC United, but they just need to enjoy the occasion. These games don’t come along every day of the week – they are ‘one offs’.

“Ian Rowe has done a grand job there, we won the league with ease last season and he’s got some excellent players the Midland Football League, too.

“I have some good memories from my time there, and still keep in touch with the lads. I hope they win the game but I hope we win ours first and foremost!”
