ROSS Thorpe has called for patience from Dale’s fans as they continue to talk with potential signings ahead of the new season.

Thorpe and Joint Manager Phil Male took their first training session on Tuesday night, as Dale’s first team squad returned for pre-season training at The Beeches.

The former Alvechurch boss confirmed that the club have already completed several signings and all will become clear in the coming days and weeks, as he and Male enter talks with further players now pre-season has begun.

He said: “I understand that people will want to know who will be playing for Tividale next season, I accept that.

“We’ve already made several signings and we were impressed with the fitness levels and standard in general during our first training session.

“We’re not hiding anything, we’re just being a little cautious in these early stages. As Phil said before, players can change their minds very quickly, or get their head turned by other offers.”
